HEAL Reno County, a community health coalition, needed a way to showcase all the work that had been done as a result of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas Pathways to a Healthy Kansas Grant. More than $300,000 had been distributed to various groups and businesses across the county, in seven different impact areas. Though the task was daunting, we successfully developed a custom microsite, seven long-form articles and seven videos (one for each pathway), social media graphics for each participating organization, and a promotional video. More than 32 individuals were interviewed, and more than 10,000 words were written to both capture the enormity of the project, and highlight individuals and organizations making a real impact on health in Reno County.
