More Sanity with SmartKnitKIDS Seamless Socks: Review and Giveaway

Look Ma! No seams!
Look Ma! No seams!

Awhile back, I posted a desperate plea on my Facebook page. Nearly every morning, my preschooler was causing us to run late. Why? Her socks. She would agree to put them on, only to fling them off in a fit of rage screaming, “They’re goofy!” Her voice was desperate. I knew this wasn’t simply a tactic not to leave the house. She loves to go, anywhere, and this was legitimately bugging her. Then again, I shouldn’t be surprised. She comes by it honest. My brother suffered from the same seam sensitivity. My daughter is also highly sensitive to other things at certain times (noise, light, textures, etc.).

It turns out she’s far from alone. Friend after friend online told me their stories of sock woes. Some of them even suffer from this same predicament. It’s frustrating for both parent and child.  But what is the solution? Force your child to keep their socks on and strap them unwillingly into their car seat? Um, no. I did the “you’re getting into your car seat whether you like it or not” tactic once. It was traumatic. Probably more so for me than for her.

When SmartKnitKIDS offered to send me a pair of their seamless socks to review, I was eager to give them a try. After all, anything that could make our mornings easier is worth consideration. When they arrived, I was surprised at how very soft they were. Almost like those aloe-infused socks. I found myself wish I had my own pair. I sat my daughter on the couch, and slipped them on her feet. “Do they feel goofy?” She rubbed her feet together, gave them a once over. “I like my new socks! They’re not goofy at all!” Of course, I tried to capture her reaction on video, but with a cranky baby sister pulling at my arms, it wasn’t that easy. 🙂 These socks are definitely well worth it if your kiddo gets as bent out of shape by seams as mine. And if it means a little more sanity in the morning, bring it on!

Product Features:

TRULY SEAMLESS
Completely free of seams, our patented product is knit like a cocoon, starting from the toe up, providing comfort and relief to children who struggle with “bumps & lumps” in their socks.

UNIQUE NO HEEL DESIGN
“No heel” design allows children to put on socks with confidence and keeps little feet from outgrowing their socks so quickly.

“HUGS” LITTLE FEET
Stretchy Corespun and Lycra yarns result in a form-fitting design that
“hug” little feet and help eliminate wrinkling and bunching. Because socks fit snugly, they won’t slip off those wiggliest little toes.

NON-BINDING
Non-binding Halo Top™ fits comfortably without slipping down the leg. Regular socks often have elastic bands at the tops of the sock that can often pinch, bind or be a source of irritation.

NO “STINKY FEET”
High-tech fibers wick moisture away helping ensure a drier sock and help prevent “stinky feet”.

We know there are MANY other parents out there in this same situation, so we’d like to give you a chance to win your own pair. Simply “Like” Mom on the Range and SmartKNITKids on Facebook, then leave a comment about the thing that drives YOUR kid crazy. Socks? Wool? Loud noises? We’ll draw one random winner at 5 p.m. Central on Sunday, January 27th. Good luck!

  1. SOCKS! terrible sock drama EVERY time because of the seams. Soon as I can find the womens small in a short ankle length sock available somewhere I would love to buy them for my daughter!

  2. Every morning without fail. I”m in a hurry and have to get to work! I pull in and park to drop the kids off and at least two out of three kids have their shoes off and are twisting and pulling at their socks. I find myself spending an extra 30 min or more a week trying to make everyone happy. Irritated one morning I renamed my children “the sock snobs” 😉

  3. I’d love for my son to try these socks! He struggles with nearly all clothing, but socks and shoes are the worst. He has a drawer full of different styles/brands of socks, but every single pair “bothers” him. Maybe these would do the trick?!

  4. would love to try these for my son I have spent hrs trying to put socks on him for 15 years socks have triggered him

  5. When One of my kids says mom and daddy says what or vice versa drives all three of my kids crazy lol. All three of them putting their socks on upside down (heels on the top) drives me crazy, and is why I would like to try these! 🙂
